God's Work, Our Hands Weekend

Join us on the designated weekend each September as we use our hands to do God's work. Weather permitting, members of Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Pine Island do community service projects such as, but not limited to: cleaning and painting at the local Sharing Shelves, cleaning and painting at Trailhead City park and Collins park, building benches for the city, painting fire hydrants, making quilts to give away as mission response, cleaning city trails and the school grounds, creating greeting cards for our caring ministry, and working at Pine Haven Care Center in whatever aspect that we can be of assistance.

Please watch for more details as September approaches.

Coffee Hour Help

If you enjoy coffee hour, please take a turn at serving and put your name down on the signup sheet hanging by the kitchen door in the church fellowship hall. Come early, start the coffee, put some cups on the tables, and get the cookies out for everyone to enjoy. Serving also includes clean up. Thank you all for your good work!

Watch the sign-up table in the fellowship hall, Sign-up Genius, the bulletins, and the newsletters to sign up for a variety of opportunities -- teaching, joining a committee, mowing, ushering, baking, serving communion, and much more.

Time and Talent sheet. Please print, fill out, and return to the church office.

Needed:   Lawn Mower and Mowers
During the summer and fall, the grass continues to grow.  If you could help out by taking a turn mowing the grounds, please sign up on the sign-up table or the yellow inserts in the bulletin.  We ask that you check the calendar for weddings and special events, but otherwise, you can mow anytime during the week.  You can bring your own mower, or use the church owned one (check with the office).  Please provide the fuel.

Opportunities in the community

Connecting Connections in Red Wing supports our mission to Baja, as well as providing ongoing support to people locally and globally. Patti can always use volunteers.

United Way of Olmsted County has ongoing volunteer opportunities for youth and adults.

Approximately every three months, Saint Paul Lutheran Church assists the Pine Island United Methodist Church with hosting homeless families for one week in conjunction with Family Promise Rochester (formerly Interfaith Hospitality Network). Click here to learn how you can get involved.
